Thursday, 1st December 2011, the beginning of the last month of the year 2011, MD Entertainment together with MNC TV launched “Cinta Sejati” This could be considered different because at this time the majority of companies are focusing on evaluations and recaps. But MD is still giving the people of Indonesia a soap opera of true love. The launching of this soap was attended by more than 50 journalists at the MD Entertainment office at Tanah Abang, central Jakarta. The launching of this soap with a cast of famous stars, was attended by the President director of MD, Manoj Punjabi. Manoj, in his speech, expressed his expectation that this will be a soap opera which speaks of the reality of people's lives, "I just want to show a soap opera that is selling reality, the reality of romance and reality of real life, not just a soap opera full of dreams and fantasies". Manoj also pledged that this soap opera, the work of director Encep Madsuki, will air for 2 hours on Monday the 5th of December at 8 pm. And then at 9 pm mondays through fridays. The Vice President of Programming & Production MNC TV, Ibu Endah Hari Utari (Uut) was also present at the press conference. The event was opened with a prayer of gratitude followed by the cutting of 'nasi tumpeng'. A 9 minute preview of this soap was also shown. After that a photo session followed with the cast such as Chelsea Olivia, Evan Sanders, Desy Ratnasari, Olla Ramlan amongst many others.
"Cinta Sejati" is the second soap starring Chelsea and Evan after ‘‘Antara Cinta dan Dusta’ (ACDD). This soap is for the community who were missing the chemistry between Chelsea and Evan. Evan himself admitted that he was attracted to this role right from the beginning not just because it was a good role but also because Chelsea would be starring opposite him. On the other hand Chelsea still had a few difficulties with this soap. " No difficulties for me personally because I do know Evan from before but what is difficult is me becoming Saffa in this soap and not Atika in ACDD. Basically that's it. I have to build a new image" Talented senior artist, Desy Ratnasari also gave a few comments on her role. She stated that roles for people of her age were monotonous, not far from that of mothers or single parents (mothers). "In this soap I play a soft, weak and kind hearted career woman " said the pretty actress.

WIDYA (Desy Ratnasari) is a young girl from a simple average family. She meets Wisnu ( Ferry Salim) who comes from a rich family. They get involved with each other and decide to get married before Wisnu goes abroad for further studies. However, when Wisnu returns, he gets married to Sandra (olla ramlan). . Widya gives birth to Putri who will be known as Saffa (Chelsea olivia). When she tries to introduce the father to the child Putri is kidnapped by Tarjo who later adopts her as his own. Tarjo's wife, has never liked Saffa and she asks her to leave. In all this confusion, Saffa meets ARJUNA and ABI who are street children. A tragedy seperates Saffa from Arjuna and Abi. But before the seperation, Arjuna gives her a hat with the name of a park on it. As time passes, Saffa and Arjuna wait for each other at this park. Never did they imagine they would meet at Widya's company. Widya is the one who adopted Arjuna and abi. A love conflict arises. Abi falls in love with Saffa. And Luna ( Saffa's step sister) falls in love with Arjuna.
What happens to this conflict? What about when Wisnu meets widya? What happens to Saffa's fate? Will Widya ever know that Saffa is her daughter who was kidnapped when she was just a baby?
